Washington D. C. and Arlington Cemetery

Dennis really froze waiting for the Tourmobile.

The capitol with all the congressmen and senators
out-of-town trying to save their jobs.
Dennis loved the Smithsonian
Aero Space Museum:
Jefferson Memorial and Lincoln Memorial were impressive from the Washington Monument

The White House is difficult to reach since security is heightened.

Washington Monument in all its glory.

We were bundled up with our Minnesota ski jackets since it was a cold and blustery day especially at the Washington Monument. This
was particularly difficult to accept when we see that it is in the 80s and 90s back home in southern California.

We paid particular attention to the the soldiers stones that form straight lines from all angles.

In Arlington Cemetery we had to wait for full military funeral to pass before completing our tour. No photos were allowed of the funeral but it was sobering and impressive.

The JFK eternal flame still burns.
